The Rjet ELP-362D Underwater Locator Beacon (ULB) is a highly reliable and low
maintenance acoustic beacon. Its purpose is to provide for underwater relocation of
flight data and cockpit voice recorders or “black boxes” of commercial and military
aircraft. Over 75,000 units have validated the ELP-362D’s track record for quality,
durability and customer satisfaction.
Approved by the FAA and CAA under TSO-C121, this locator beacon is rugged, highly
durable and able to survive extreme high-impact shock. When activated by water, the
ELP-362D will continuously emit its signal for a minimum of 30 days in water depths to
20,000 feet (6000m).
The ELP-362D is fully interchangeable with Dukane’s DK-100 and DK-120 underwater
acoustic beacons and is approved for use by all the major flight recorder manufacturers
such as L3 Communications, Honeywell Aerospace, BAE and Smiths Industries. We
offer a full line of equipment to locate and recover aircraft beacons lost at sea, such as
pinger receivers, which will detect underwater beacons from over a mile away.
