Mode S transponders for the TCAS system perform all functions of existing air traffic control radar beacon systems (ATCRBS). The transponders incorporate FAA-specified diversity capability that permits operation with both upper and lower antennas. All three ACSS Mode S transponders are available with Elementary Surveillance / Enhanced Surveillance (ELS/EHS) and Extended Squitter capability for ADS-B applications.
