The KANNAD 406 and 121 beacons are aeronautical distress beacons that operate at civil and military frequencies of 121.5 MHz, 243 MHz and 406.025 MHz (the KANNAD 121 AF and AF-H at 121.5 MHz, 243 MHz only) as part of the COSPAS-SARSAT system.
