Z9 helicopter is manufactured on the basis of the patent SA356N1 bought from Eurocopter. It is a light and multi-purpose helicopter with 10/14 seats and twin turbo shafts.

Z9 helicopter obtains type certificate(TC0018A) from CAAC on April 12th 2001. The approved type is instrument flight version (IFR) and visual flight version (VFR) with minimum flight crew. 

After suitable optional equipement are installed, Z9 helicoptert can be used for passanger/cargo transportation, offshore support, rescue, fire extinguishing, aerial photography, sea patrol, researh and rescue, forest protection, outside suspension, law enforcement, drugs and smuggling suppression.
