Harbin Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as simply HAIG) under AVIC II was founded in April, 1952. It is one of the 156 major projects during the “First 5-years Plan” in China. HAIG has won the honorary titles such as the “Significant Contribution Unit in the Aviation Industries in China”, “the Advanced Enterprise for Quality and Benefit in China” and “the 100 top Enterprise at Stronger Competition in National Industries”, etc. HAIG has gone through a development course from repair, copy, independent development and international cooperation with the hard works for more than 50 years and has manufactured and sold totally more than 1600 different types of aircrafts by now and made significant contributions to the national defense and economic constructions. With more than 50 years’ efforts, HAIG has built up multi-families and multi-types of aeronautical products, including Y12 serial light and general-purposed aircraft, H425 serial civil helicopters, Z9 serial military helicopters, HC120 helicopters, the ultra-lights and ERJ145 regional jet airplane through cooperation with EMBRAER Brazil. Now, HAIG has become an important backbone aviation enterprise in China and a component supplier for the worldwide famous aviation enterprises such as Boeing and Airbus, etc. With the development and creation works during the past over 50 years, HAIG has established a first-class manufacturing system in China and has built up a stronger independent creation abilities, thus has become the development and manufacturing base of helicopters, light and general-purposed aircrafts and new regional jet airplanes. The wind is coming and it is time to sail with the wind.
